Feedback- Midterm
After we presented our midterm submission we got both positive and negative comments. Our classes loved the concept and the plot line but felt at times that the film was moving very slow. There would 2 minutes without any major action. Moreover, the camera shots throughout the film were very shaky and the audience picked up on that. Both classes loved the innovative use of a grey filter on the film, to create suspense and a darker mood. Additionally, the camera zooming was able to heard through our shots, introducing a unprofessional aspect to out film. The film also was more similar to a short film, then a introduction. Since the main actor was killed at the end, our audiences questioned where the film was going if there was more. Both classes loved our main character, and his confidence could easily be seen throughout the film. Our dialogue throughout the film was also unnecessary and sounded forced. Therefore, after meeting with my partner we decided to re-film our entire film and expand on our plot, by actually introducing the monster to the audience. We will keep the same main character but will introduce more actors, for a more realistic and professional atmosphere. Overall, the feedback from our class will be extremely helpful in creating a successful final product.
