Project Choice- Film

After close consideration, I have decided to make a film for this exam. I plan on doing a horror/ supernatural film. I chose to do a film because it allows for creativilty and successful teamwork. I have always loved to read fictional stories, causing me to be excited to create a story of my own.     I will be completing this film with Christine and we wish do complete a horror film focused around the idea of an "imaginary friend" would be a supernatuaral being which befriends a younger boy. Throughout the film the boy will hear a laugh and wont see where it is coming from. Viewers will correctly assume its something only the boy can hear. The identity and purpose of the supernatural being will be concealed throughout the film, adding suspense and excitement. Project Selection- Film

A film production project usually profits on entertainment and exciting stories. Film production allows for unconventional ideas and plots, which capture audiences. Filming allows for a ponderous creative gateway, creating films which conquer societies. For example in the film: Ferris Bueller, Bueller addresses the audience directly; this seen controversial at the time but, in the end created a unforgettable film. A film production gives the opportunity to create a new universe with feign characters. Ultimately, this turns into a series of photos into a major motion picture.      A film production project requires many skills, some in which I possess. For example, in my Journalism 1 class last year, I directed and edited a newscast video. It required many different shots and cuts, which I edited together.  Furthermore, I assisted heavily in writing the script a nd am aware of the imperative timing of a film project. Moreover, I pride myself...

Project Selection- Magazine

Print journalism focuses mainly on the reporter aspect of media studies. This makes print journalism appealing, as ideas and topics can be easily presented. This type of journalism uses visual appeal to capture the minds of its audiences. Moreover, print journalism revolves around one topic or lifestyle to maximize sales. In print journalism timing and relevance is imperative, as it is shown in All the President's Men. In this film the article is rushed, in hopes of beating the other journalists in the field. During magazine analysis, done in class, I learned that each issue of a magazine shares an overall theme. For example, in Time magazine each issue presents the same logo towards the top of the cover. This allows for consistency throughout the company brand. Overall, magazine articles focus on reporting issues and events throughout the world. This causes magazines to be mostly current events with the overlay of advertisements.      Furthermor...
